Sydney Spring User Group Meeting

I went to the Sydney Spring User Group Meeting yesterday and I was quite disappointed with it, in particular the second part of it. Maybe my expectation was to high.

I was expecting the presentor (Ramon Buckland) to give us some real-life demo. For example, I would like to know what kind of problems he faced, why he chose to use SOA, how did he solved it using SOA and JBI architecture and what's the benefits after using SOA,etc, etc.

The user group ended up like a marketing campaign of his company and an introduction to ServiceMix. I remembered I met him at Macquire Bank before and He is fairly new to SOA as well. To be honest, I don't think he has enough experiences on SOA (I don't mean he is bad, but he is just not strong enough on SOA).

Rod Johnson will come back to Sydney in November and he will present in the next meeting. I wish I won't be disappointed again.
